Casa Museo
Casa Museo is a unique museum and guest house located in the former home of the late Judith Kain Cunningham (“Mama Judith”), an Indigenous Miskita artist who made a great contribution to the revitalization of Indigenous and multi-ethnic art on the North Atlantic Coast. In 2001, the Judith Kain Cunningham Foundation and CIPAD established Casa Museo as a community center and art gallery. It features a permanent exhibit designed and crafted by Judith Kain Cunningham, temporary exhibits of local artists, and historical photographs and artifacts from the region. It also includes a documentation center, local television studio and guest house.
